A Vacation the Whole Family will Enjoy
Before we had kids, hopping on a plane to go on vacation was a breeze. However, traveling with kids is not as simple. I don’t know about you, but sharing a hotel room (or even a junior hotel suite) with a child is not my idea of vacation. Here are list of other issues we encountered when vacationing with children:
Lack of washer/dryer options for dirty laundry
No access to a full kitchen
The mini-fridges are not great to store breast milk
No dishes, utensils, glasses
Lack of spaces for kids to stretch out
No kid games or video games
Lack of privacy/noise issues
Little exposure to the vacation area and local hangouts
Hot tub/pool is shared and not private
Sharing a single bathroom with the entire family
Some hotels offer solutions to a few of these problems, but they’re limited in what they can provide. Vacation homes are a great alternative to traditional hotels. Vacation homes offer families a great deal of flexibility and when the kids are having fun, the parents are better able to relax and enjoy.
We love visiting cities in the U.S. because no passport is required to travel! There are restaurants, night life, kids camps, pharmacies and urgent care clinics in the vicinity of most of our vacation homes.
Please check out the things we love about each of the featured vacation homes and amenities. And don’t forget to relax when you get there—you’re on VACATION!
